MEA
The Michigan Education Association is one of the oldest teachers unions in the country—and one of the strongest. The MEA and its insurance affiliate, the Michigan Education Special Services Association, have hundreds of employees dedicated to getting the most for their members from their employer school districts—regardless of the impact on student learning.
Each year, labor unions are required to file LM-2 reports with the federal Department of Labor. These reports list all assets, expenses, liabilities, compensation, and other financial information. Here is the 2009 report, broken down by section.
